Hinchas Press is la mera imprenta of the on-line journal, Hinchas de Poesía. We specialize in the manufacture of codices, zines, and mimeographed artifact. We traffic in digital and print iterations .
All of our digital titles CONTAIN ISBN numbers, as well as all of our titles purchased through the print-on-demand platform at Hewlett Packard's MagCloud. However, all of our six-fold zine titles DO NOT CONTAIN ISBN numbers.
In terms of content, our titles champion Spanglish, poetry in translation, and political poetry. In terms of subjects, our interests range from the salarymen of Iraq (Compound Memorandum) to the teacher-jails of New York City (Rubberroom) to the odes and invocations owed to the giants of fútbol ( Odas a Fútbolistas ).
You can purchase any of the titles you see on this page by using our Paypal account:

We are constantly adding titles to our catalog and looking to collaborate with poets and illustrators. Although the genesis of Hinchas Press' projects are determined by its publisher, we are open to suggestions, inflammations, degradations, and usurpations.

Rubberroom is a colletion of poetry about the reassigment centers that NYC's Department of Education uses to administratively punish teachers that have been arrested or accused of committing a crime.
Our narrator spends two weeks there in 2004 but is helped along by various people who saw that a wrong was being committed. But, he was extremely lucky; supposedly, there are teachers who have been at these reassignment centers, or Rubberrooms, for years.
Rubberroom is a cycle of poems written like a play. The plot is driven by acts and scenes and there is one narrator that monologues his way to understanding the motives behind the actions that landed him in the Rubberroom.
Rubberroom has been passed around public high schools in the Bronx by first year teachers, administrators, and haggard veterans since 2005. In addition, the narrator has addressed the 2005 and 2006 class of NYC Teaching Fellows at Lehman College, and his story comprises the much larger story titled "Human Resources" that aired on This American Life in February of 2008.

Dos Crotos Culos Rotos by Abel Folgar and Yago Cura
Dos Crotos Culos Rotos is a collaboration between Abel Folgar and Yago S. Cura. They put it together despite the fact that they live on opposite tendrils of the USA (NewYork & Miami). They could not have done it without the adroit associates at the Staples on Two Fifth and Lenox Ave.
Abel Folgar and Yago S. Cura have been collaborating on zines since their undergrad days at F.I.U. when they ruled the Blue Tables. Both have Lebanese heritage, grow hair in ritualized swaths, and both of their parents are from Latin American countries (Venezuela/Argentina). Last, both are praticing librarians, son!
