Michelle Cura's photographs are happenstance occurences, things that summarily escape our field of vision. Michelle's photographs state brave compositions, they deem nothing mundane, nuanced, or pedestrian; and yet, there is a strange purloin of innocence there as well. Born in Brooklyn but raised in Miami, her photographs are subjects of the city strut, the strange and displaced. She has been photographing New York City since relocating here from Miami in 2005.
